Prologue: A Fate Already Written

Zubia Fatima never believed in fairytales.

She had learned at a young age that love was conditional, that homes weren’t always safe, and that family could hurt more than strangers.

But she had one dream—to become a doctor.

Not for the title. Not for the prestige. But because if she had known enough, if she had been strong enough, maybe… maybe her mother would still be alive.

She believes Dreams were safer than love as it  didn’t betray and gives hope to make it more better work for it.

And then came

Dr Faraj Ahmad.
A man who didn’t believe in love, who lived by discipline and duty, untouched by the chaos of emotions. He wasn’t cruel, but he wasn’t the kind of man who gave away parts of himself easily.

Their first meeting can be forgettable but,

Their story, however, was anything but forgettable.

  Author’s Note:

This story is not about grand gestures or whirlwind romances
It’s about two people—Zubia and Faraj—who are quietly  broken in their own ways. One fears love because it leave her with fear of lonliness and she never get in the form of any other relation too.
The other denies it because he thinks emotions and attachments only complicate life.

But as their worlds collide, something changes.

In between stolen glances, subtle silences, and selfless acts of care, they begin to discover a different kind of love—the kind that heals, anchors, and feels like home.
It’s a slow-burn, yes. But it's not just a love story.
It’s about growth, trust, and the silent battle of choosing someone—every single day.
---
This is a slow-burn journey of healing , love and emotional growth between two emotionally guarded individuals.
